Change your plan or extend your subscription (upgrade / downgrade)

Billing & Wallet 3 min read Updated July 2026

Orvoxa replaces the old-style “Upgrade/Downgrade” buttons with two clearer actions on every hosting service: Change Plan and Extend Subscription. Both are fully self-service — no ticket needed.

Where to find them

  1. Log in to your Orvoxa client area.
  2. Go to Services and open your hosting service.
  3. The Change Plan and Extend Subscription buttons are at the top of the service page.

Change Plan (upgrade or downgrade)

  • Upgrading to a bigger plan is prorated and billed immediately — you pay only the difference for the remainder of your current period, and the new resources apply as soon as the invoice is paid.
  • Downgrading is scheduled for the end of your current billing period, so you keep everything you already paid for until then.

The dialog lists every plan available on your billing cycle and clearly marks each one as an upgrade or a downgrade before you commit.

Extend Subscription

Add 1–12 extra billing cycles to your service in advance — handy for locking in your renewal or prepaying ahead of time. You receive an invoice for the extra cycles; once it is paid, your renewal date moves forward automatically. Your card is never charged without you seeing the invoice first.

Coming from WHMCS?

“Upgrade/Downgrade Product” = Change Plan. “Renew early” = Extend Subscription. Same outcomes with fewer surprises: upgrades show the exact prorated price up front, and downgrades never cut your service mid-period.

Availability

  • Change Plan: active services only.
  • Extend Subscription: active or suspended services — paying the extension invoice on a suspended service also reactivates it.
