A new brand's website starts as Under construction. Your Owner Account shows Website: Under construction on your brand's page until you go live.
What visitors see
- The words Under construction and "Bright Hosting is getting ready", with your own brand name.
- A short line saying the new website is being set up, and that existing customers can still sign in to manage their services, pay invoices and contact support.
- A Customer sign in button.
- Search engines are asked not to list this page.
What keeps working
- Your brand admin and your Owner Account.
- Customer sign-in, sign-up and password reset.
- The client area, where your customers pay invoices and open tickets.
Look at your website before it opens
- Sign in to your brand admin and, in the menu, open System → Settings.
- In the Website status card, click Preview website.
Your real website opens in your browser only. Everyone else still sees the Under construction page.
Open your website, or close it again
When you are ready, go live: see Go live. To close a live website again, click Show "Under construction" in the same Website status card and confirm. It can take up to 5 minutes to show everywhere.
Common problems
I built my website but visitors still see Under construction
Building the website does not open it. Go live to open it to the public. See Go live.
Can my customers still pay while the site is closed?
Signed-in customers can still reach their account, pay invoices and open tickets. Payments are real only once your checkout takes real payments; before that they are a test. See Go live.
