Your customers reach it by signing in on your website, for example at brighthosting.com/client. To see it with your own eyes, use See your client area as a customer sees it.
The menu
- Overview: wallet balance, active services, the next renewal and a list of services.
- Services and Domains: everything they own. Manage opens one.
- Email Hosting: their email accounts.
- Invoices and Wallet: their bills and the money they keep with you.
- Affiliate: your affiliate program, when it is on.
- Place Order: buy a new plan.
- Support and Chats: their tickets and their live chats with your team.
- What's new and Activity: your news, and a record of sign-ins and changes on their account.
- Profile: their account details.
What they can do themselves
- Services: Login to Control Panel, see their Hosting Password, View Analytics, Change Plan on an active service and Extend Subscription. An upgrade or an extension makes an invoice for them to pay. A downgrade starts at the end of their current period.
- Invoices: open one, download it with PDF, and pay under Pay Invoice with Pay Now. They choose from the payment methods you turned on, or Pay from Wallet.
- Wallet: Add Funds, pick an amount and click Continue to payment.
- Domains: change Nameservers and DNS Records, switch Auto-Renew, Renew Domain, and, where the domain allows it, get a transfer code under Move this domain away. See What your customers can do with domains.
- Support: click New Ticket, and reply in their tickets and chats.
- Profile: change their email with Change, and click Email me a password reset link.
Until you go live, paying in the client area is only a test: no money is taken. See Go live.
Common problems
My customer cannot see a page you describe
Some pages show only when the feature is on for your brand. For example, the affiliate page says the program is not enabled until you turn it on.
