You can connect Stripe, PayPal, PayFast (ZA), PayFast PK / APPS or Plisio. You need your own account with the gateway first.
Steps
- Sign in to your brand admin. See Open your brand admin.
- In the menu, open System → Settings. Under Related editors, click Payment gateways. (From your Owner Account, you can also click Payment gateways, then Open in Bright Hosting admin.)
- Find your gateway's card and type its keys. Stripe: Secret key (sk_…) and Publishable key (pk_…). PayPal: Client ID and Secret. PayFast (ZA): Merchant ID, Merchant key and Passphrase. PayFast PK / APPS: Merchant ID, Store ID and Secured key. Plisio: API key.
- Under Enabled at checkout, tick the gateway. You do not need to tick Wallet balance: your customers can always pay from their wallet.
- Click Save gateway settings.
- On the gateway's card, click Test connection.
What happens next
- A good test says: "Connected. Customers can pay with this gateway once your store is live."
- Keys are never shown again after you save. Only the last four characters show, so you can match them with your gateway account.
- For Stripe, saving the secret key sets up the payment updates for you. Set it up by hand is only for when that did not work.
- Until you go live, checkout is a demo and no money is taken. See Go live.

Common problems
It says I cannot enable a gateway without a key
A required key is empty. Type it, then save. For PayFast (ZA), the Passphrase is needed too.
The test failed
The gateway did not accept the keys. Copy them again from your gateway account, save, and test again.
