Before you start

You need your own Google Analytics account and its ID that starts with G-.

Steps

  1. Sign in to your brand admin. See Open your brand admin.
  2. In the menu, open System → Settings.
  3. Find the card Count your website visitors.
  4. Paste your ID into Google Analytics ID.
  5. Click Save.

What happens next

You see Saved. Your website starts counting visitors within a minute. The card says Counting is on. You see the numbers in your own Google Analytics.

When counting is on, your website asks each visitor first, with Accept and Decline. Only visitors who click Accept are counted. Only your public pages are counted: never your brand admin, the client area, the Owner Account, sign-in pages or the Under construction page, so counting really starts when you go live. Your Privacy Policy gets one sentence about it, added for you.

Stop counting

Empty the Google Analytics ID box and click Save. You see Saved. Your website no longer counts visitors.

Common problems

It says "That does not look right."

The ID starts with G- and then has capital letters and numbers, like G-XXXXXXXXXX. Copy it again from Google Analytics.
