How a customer joins
- In the client area, they open Affiliate and click Enable affiliate account.
- They get Your share link, for example brighthosting.com/aff/CODE, and a Copy button.
- While your program is off, the page says: The affiliate program is not currently enabled for this brand.
How they earn
- Someone clicks the link. We remember the click for your Cookie days.
- That person creates an account on your website in that time. Customers cannot refer themselves.
- When the new customer pays their first invoice, the affiliate earns your commission on it. Later invoices do not earn more.
- The affiliate sees Available balance, Referred customers, Total clicks and Lifetime earned.
How they get paid
- When their balance reaches your minimum payout, your customer clicks the payout button under Request payout. The button shows the amount.
- Sign in to your brand admin and open Billing → Affiliates. The request shows under Pending payout requests.
- Pay your affiliate yourself.
- Type your payment reference in Txn ref and click Mark paid.
To turn a request down, type a reason in Reject reason and click Reject. The money goes back to their balance, so they can ask again later. All affiliates lists everyone who joined, with their clicks, referrals and balance.
Mark paid only records the payout. It does not send money and does not add money to your customer's wallet, even though the request's Method says wallet. Pay them your own way first, then mark it paid.
To open Affiliates, a role needs Manage affiliates and payouts. To mark a payout paid, it also needs Mark invoices or orders paid, confirm manual payments, approve payouts. See What can each staff role do?.
