Every plan lets you use your own domain for your website. Selling domains to your customers is a separate plan feature, called domain sales. On Plans and prices, the plans that include it say Sell domains to your customers.
When your plan includes domain sales
- Your website menu shows Domains, and your site has the domain search and WHOIS lookup pages.
- In the client area, Domains has Register New Domain and Transfer Domain buttons.
- When a customer orders hosting, they can register a new domain, transfer one, or use one they already have.
- A new domain uses the nameservers shown on your Nameservers screen when your brand has its own saved. If it has none, your customer types their own nameservers when they order.
- You set the prices in Catalog → Domain Pricing. See Set your domain prices.
- When the customer pays the invoice, we start registering or transferring the domain for them. Registrations of .pk domains are paid from your Deposit, so keep it topped up. See What is your deposit balance?.
When your plan does not include it
- The domain pages are not on your website, and the hosting order only offers I already have a domain.
- If a customer tries anyway, they see: This store does not sell domain names. You can use a domain you already have.
- Domain Pricing shows Selling domains is part of the next plan up with a Change plan button. You cannot add or change prices.
- Domains your customers already have with you stay listed, can be managed, and still renew.
Start selling domains
- In your Owner Account, open your brand and click Plan & capacity.
- Change to a plan that includes domain sales.
- In your brand admin, add your prices in Catalog → Domain Pricing.
